We produced a film premiere and reception to promote HIT Entertainment's DVD release of Thomas & Friends: King of the Railway. In addition to PR coordination that garnered 116M media impressions, the event featured an invitation-only screening for LA celebrity talent and their families, HIT Entertainment executives, Mattel management and special guests. Additionally, we hosted a screening for 280 public attendees who won their tickets through a promoted contest. The reception transformed The Grove’s outdoor park into a Thomas the Tank play land where children were entertained by a live interactive Thomas & Friends show, dozens of train sets, castle turrets and drawbridges and thematically catered hors 'd'oeuvres and soft beverages.
We worked with partner Barnes & Noble to drive on site sales of merchandise, which sold out before the day's end. The event attracted approximately 15K onsite impressions from the Grove's weekend traffic, radio and online exposure through the screening contest and allowed an additional 150 public attendees to participate in the show at the very end.
